Samuel Maputso was born in Inhambane, Mozambique, in 1972. He holds a Masters of Sciences in Management (University of Liverpool), Masters of Arts in Governance & Sustainable Development (Staffordshire University, dissertation stage) and Honors Degree in Pedagogy & Psychology (Pedagogic University, Maputo).

Samuel has over 25 years of experience in Human Capital Management, more than 15 of which in executive roles in Banking, International NGOs and FMCG, in addition to his lecturing experience. Passionate about Strategy, OD & Change, Operational Excellence, Workforce Productivity, Talent and Sales, he serves on the board of two microfinance NGOs, is a member of the advisory body of the Association of Mozambican HR Professionals and has founded various multi-country HR networks throughout his journey. Currently, he is the Human Capital & Learning Director for BancABC Mocambique.

Coach and Mentor, Samuel is a frequent Speaker on Human Capital Management topics and co-author of the book “Talent Management”, published by Lisbon International Press”.
